New Gallery in Paducah, Kentucky!

Afghan Tribal Arts now has a new showroom in Paducah, Kentucky! This is exciting because we will have a better handle on our online presence as well. Abdul Wardak and Rachel Biel were partners in a gorgeous gallery in Chicago, Dara Tribal Village, which closed in 2004. Rachel moved to Paducah and has continued to work on Afghan Tribal Arts’ web presence through its Etsy shop and Facebook page. Abdul has maintained a bead show schedule with a route going between Wisconsin and Florida. A lot of gas miles in these years!

After closing the gallery in Chicago, Abdul moved most of the inventory to Pendleton, South Carolina’s Sturee Tribal Village.  Both the Paducah and Pendleton galleries focus on beads and rugs, along with other vintage crafts and textiles from Central Asia.

The gallery is still getting set up, although it already looks great! We are located in the downtown area of Paducah, at 626 Broadway.  We are still working out the logistics of hours and who will do what, but it’s all very exciting. Follow us on our Facebook page for updates.  Call Abdul (847-602-6651) for info.
